13 September 2008 - Fun Day to Celebrate Rowner’s Nimrod Community Centre Extension
The opening of the Nimrod Community Centre Extension was celebrated in style on Saturday – it was alive with salsa dancers, children’s activities, arts and crafts, story tellers, fashion shows and dance academies. VIPs from Gosport Development Trust, Portsmouth Housing Association (PHA), Gosport Borough Council and the Mayor of Gosport, Cllr Derek Kimber, all participated in the fun with the many local residents. 15 February 2008 - Rowner’s Consultation Events
The Rowner Renewal Partnership is hoping to build more houses at the south end of the development following feedback from residents on the proposed plans. They now invite everyone to come along to a Community Forum to see the updated Rowner Vision on Thursday 21 February at Siskin Junior School starting at 6pm. Over 200 local residents, stakeholders and community groups participated in the various events, workshops and interviews organised by JTP. As well as the residents, they have worked with Siskin Junior School, the Rowner Vision Group, the Youthy, Groundwork Solent, the Rowner Access Point, Gosport Regeneration Action Forum and SureStart to gain an insight into local people’s aspirations for Rowner.
