27 July 2009 – Rowner Renewal Phase 1 Plans submitted
The Rowner Renewal Partnership confirmed today that it has now submitted detailed plans for the 230 homes in Phase One to Gosport Borough Council as part of the planning process.
Rowner residents have been keenly awaiting the detailed plans for Phase One of the Rowner renewal project since Gosport Borough Council gave consent to the outline plans for the £145 million eight year regeneration project at the end of April.
The detailed plans include drawings of street elevations as well as floor plans for the apartments and houses. They will be available for viewing in the Nimrod Community Centre on 31 July between 10am and 7pm and 1 August between 10am and 2pm.
Phase One extends from the southern end of the development along Howe Road and the footbridge area of Rambler’s Drive. Start on site for Phase One is scheduled for Autumn this year.
Hazel Warwick, Spokesperson for the Rowner Renewal Partnership said:
“The Partnership worked hard at devising the detailed plans for Phase One and looks forward to welcoming as many residents as possible at the exhibition.
Portsmouth Housing Association continues to meet with many residents and now has an office based in the Nimrod Community Centre where residents can drop in to ask any questions they may have. Our telephone enquiry line is also still available on 08450 343317.”
